February 11th- HAPPY BIRTHDAY KRISTAN!

OLAH everyone!!!!!

This past Friday we had our first venture over to Newforest School where we want to disciple a class that had come here for a retreat. Becky, Pam, Dwayne and I all went. It wasn't official, we're still trying to sort out where we can meet every week and then transportation and some other little details too. One of the boys' mother is a leader at his church which is near the school, and so we went to the church to meet up with her to see if we could meet there on Friday evenings. The church is in one of the coolest communities. It's right by the ocean. People's front yards are sand! We stepped out of the church and my shoes were filled with sand. We walked down to the beach, which took us like a minute, and we discussed having some Fridays where we could come to the beach and hang out.

It ended up that not very many boys were there this Friday, so we ended up driving to go see a couple of them. I think that it really means alot to these boys to know that we really do care about them. It wasn't just a one weekend deal where we told them about Christ and let them figure the rest out for themselves. We told them that we cared about them and really meant it. I know that alot of these boys aren't getting proper care and love from their family so I feel privileged to be able to show them Christ's love. Becky and I will be doing this discipleship every second Friday, and Pam and Dwayne will be going every week. I'm really excited about this.

God has had His hand on these boys' lives. The story of how Nadeen got the teaching job, and then how the retreat weekend worked out and now the discipleship is really amazing. Everything just fell into place perfectly and God brought the right people at just the right time. We've been praying about this and we feel that this will begin a big transformation for the whole school and even the community.

Please join me in prayer for these boys and the discipleship. We do need financial support for transportation for us leaders, and also for the boys if we're going to be meeting at that church. Also pray that all of the tiny details will come together, and I trust they will!


On Friday the DTS from MoBay came to this base as well. They'll be here until the end of this week. My TFNJ class will be joining their classes, which will be about healing. You could join me in prayer about this week as well. The speaker will be talking about sin and curses and being free from the bondage of sin, which is a huge spiritual battle, so please keep us in your prayers.
