RATS & MICE
Kristan this one's for you. Lately here at Stone's Hope it has been raining quite a bit. This is a huge blessing, because we don't have water from the city. We use rain water for everything! However there is one major downfall to it. You see mice and rats don't like to be outside when it's wet, so they invite themselves indoors. Anywhere they can find a warm, dry place that's where they make their home. The other morning Roxann and Pam (two of my housemates) found 7 mice on our traps. I think that's the record for our home.
We put out these sticky traps all over our house...mostly in our kitchen. All that happens is when a mouse walks on it it gets stuck and eventually dies. You can usually hear when one gets stuck because they squeak or they drag the trap around because they're trying to get away.
The other day my housemates and I were playing cards in the front room (farm animals!!!! gooder!) and I saw a mouse go into Roxann's room. A few minutes later I saw it come out into the living room and then dart into the kitchen. I lost it after that. Then in between one of the rounds of farm animals I went into my room to grab something and I saw something scurry across the floor. I yelled...typical girl thing. Becky came running and I grabbed my shoe, with the intent to hit it with it. Now the boys at school can just step on mice..even rats. I've seen them do this on two separate occasions. However the feeling of squashed mouse under my foot does not seem appetizing, so I thought I could just smack it!!! Well after completely disheveling my room and numerous attempts to smack the mouse (which jumped too..that was freaky!) it eventually got away. The next morning there were two more mice on our traps!
(Another day I'll have to tell you some more rat stories and about the ant infestations and cockroaches...I LOVE it here! Really I do!!! There's always an adventure!)

Well it seems to only be able to upload one picture at a time, so slowly I'll show you guys more and more pics! Top, from left to right is Kascitta, Nathan and Argyanna. Bottom, from left to right is Sara-lee, me and Nicole. These are students in BCS!!!

Ya, I really loved that story. SO much. You have no idea. (lots of sarcasm) I probably would've been the biggest baby you've ever seen and found the highest point possible and sat there crying forever and ever until all the mice had been terminated. Lol. Just the biggest girl ever. I really did love seeing the pics that you posted though. It was so exciting to see you. I haven't seen you forever and just to see a picture of you almost made me start crying. ** days hun!!! (I had to use stars instead of numbers in case your parents read this, ya that's right, I'm on top of things) Love you!!
Oh my gosh...I totally agree with Kristan. I would have died forsure. Rat and mice are my biggest fear in the entire world. Well I'm glad your there instead of me that's forsure! Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!! I can't even imagine!
