Life's Going Great!
Sorry it's been a while since I've wrote in my blog. I've thought about it quite a few times on different occasions, but I sort of don't know what to write about. Life is going so good. EVERYTHING is going amazingly better than I ever could've imagined. I feel like that's all I can write. If I went into everything that was so great I would write a 20 page essay!!! I'll do my best to summarize though.
FOOTBALL- I am the coach of the boys football at the elementary school here. We practice every Saturday for two hours, and it's going great. I'm getting to know the boys really really well and they seem to be loving it. All of the parents were very supportive of starting up a football team for this school so most of the boys come out. I have some pictures of the last practice, but it didn't work when I tried to upload them onto here, so maybe I'll try it again another time.
TFNJ- school is going great. God is still blowing my mind with all of the new thingsthat I'm learning. I'm still excited every morning when I wake up, because I wonder what God is going to teach me this time!
BCS- the elementary school internship part of the TFNJ is going great as well. There are some students who are struggling with reading and I really have a desire to tutor them or work alongside with them individually or in smaller groups. I might be able to do this, but so far it's just an idea. Ill keep you posted.
SOCIAL LIFE- I am getting along really well with everyone on the base. Everyone is super friendly. I am the closes to Becky. She's a 24 year old Canadian, and she's doing the TFNJ with me. SHe's my roommate as well. We do alot together. We went into town last Saturday and cruised around which was really great!
CANADA- I am coming home...actually Jamaica is my home now, so I should say...I'm coming back to Canada in December. I can't disclose the exact date because it's a surprise for my parents and they just might read this. So for those of you who are wondering when...email me and i can tell you. I'm really excited about this. I miss my family like crazy, and I can't wait to see all of my peeps as well. I miss Canada too....Jamaica is TOTALLY different!
FUTURE- I have been praying about what to do after TFNJ and I may have told most of you already, but I am 99% sure that I will be teaching here on this base at the elementary school. THis is really really exciting for me. I will be working with children and be able to put into practice all that I'm learning in TFNJ, and I will also continue to coach. I have also been praying about going to Africa as well to teach. I think that in the long run I may end up teaching english somewhere in Africa, but I don't know much else about that one!
Like I said...I could go on, but I don't want this to be 20 pages long. I'm sorry there aren't any pics, but I tried and it just didn't work. One day when I have lots of time I'll try again. It's just so slow with the dial-up connection.
Blessings to all of you, and if you want to hear something else about my life let me know in the comments area!
