March 27-30

Last week was full of information. It would be impossible for me to shorten it all up. Basically we learned that God truly has a heart for whole NATIONS as well as people as individuals. The teacher that we had was Rev. Dr. Alistair Petrie. He is known all over the world for his work. He has spent time with Prime Ministers, Presidents and other authority figures all over the world. He researches the movement of God in nations. One nation that has pretty much done a total transformation is Fiji. In the year 2000 that nation was a wreck, but in the last 5 years God has moved incredibly. There are now Christian people in authority who are declaring that God is sovereign Lord over their land.
Another part of what we learned last week was how God relates to land. When God is being dishonoured in the land and evil has a foothold, you can really notice it in the land, such as agriculture. Bad crops, small produce and other things are signs that there is something going on in the spiritual realm that needs to be dealt with before the land can be healed.
We learned about going into a community, looking around at what we see on the land, in the structures of the buildings and in major places such as churches, schools, gov't buildings, media, etc., and then praying and listening to God about what HE sees happening in the land. Hearing God's voice is key. The only way to pray efficiently into a situation is through the Holy Spirit who guides us, therefore we must be hearing God's voice.
Last week was alot of work because of all that I learned. I just touched the surface of all that I learned. I have a huge workbook that we went through with all of the notes. It really got me excited about what God is doing in nations. The great commandment itself does not say to disciple people....but to disciple NATIONS! This is God's heart! He wants NATIONS to know him.

In other news last week my boyfriend left on outreach. I really miss him already, but he'll be back in a couple of weeks. My thumb (from volleyball) and my shin (from soccer) are healing quite nicely. I didn't play soccer all lastweek so that it woudl heal up, and then tonight I was out there. And after the game a bunch of the guys came up to me and said that I played well, and they were joking that no one can get past the white girl!!! Which isn't totally true, i did let some bad ones past me, but I did pretty good! I hope to get much better! I really love playing, I'm so glad to be out on the field again. I also found out today about a camp that I will be working with here on the base this summer. It's a 3 week camp called ACCESS. It's for youth ages 13-18. It's like a mini DTS. There's a 2 week teaching phase and then a week outreach. I'm excited about that too, it'll be like councelling at camp! Apparently people come from the states as well for this camp. I'll have more details about this as time goes on. My camera is broken so I don't have any pics to put on here, but hopefully when Jermaine gets back he'll be able to take it somewhere to get it fixed. Sorry about that. I know how exciting pictures can be. I think that's about it. I love it here, everyday I think about how much I love it here! But I miss you guys. I love hearing from you in emails! Don't stop writing to me.

Blessings, Kristen
