Random events!

Hello everyone! So I'm sure you have all heard of having rats and mice in the kitchen. But have you ever heard of having a CRAB in the kitchen. Well sure enough this morning I went down to breakfast at 6:30, as usual, and the breakfast guy told us that he saw a crab in one of the crates this morning, and it's probably still there. So Tanya and I go in the kitchen and sure enough there it is, a big black and orange thing, just sitting there! We figured we'd leave it alone for now and eat our breakfast and then after breakfast we'd go and bring it down to Daniel who seems to have a fettish with the crabs here on the base. So after breakfast Jeff (the breakfast guy), Steve, Tanya and I go over to the crates to get it, BUT IT'S NOT THERE! We all looked around, under the tables and under the bags lying on the floor, but it's nowhere to be found. I totally had the begeebers after this! Then finally Steve gets the brilliant idea of checking the HUGE pantry, and sure enough in the far, dark corner there it is, just sitting there, with no way to escape. So Steve finds some tongs from the kitchen, and I stand on a chair, as he begins to grab at it to catch it. He couldn't get it so Junior, who came in later, went in and grabbed it and we brought it down to Daniel in a bucket!!! Good times with the crab! But all day I've had the begeebers and I keep on thinking that a crab is going to come out of nowhere and bite my toes! Silly- I know!

The morning before this Daniel was outside eating his breakfast looking down the hill on the base that faces the ocean and he was still half asleep. Then all of a sudden he sees some big black thing up in a tree, and then a bunch of coconuts fall and this man comes down the tree, takes a coconut and climbs over the fence that surrounds our property. So Daniel runs into the dining area where Steve, Junior and I are eating breakfast and tells us what he just saw. So Junior runs out to go yell at this thief and the thief was still right outside the fence so Junior told him that he shouldn't be stealing our coconuts and the next time he comes onto our property he's gonna get a lickin'!!!! It was quite exciting. And we all laughed about it after, cuz Daniel didn't even catch on to the fact that it was a thief until the person was back over the fence!!!!!

This weeks breakfast has been VERY exciting!!! I hope your week is just as exciting as mine has been so far! Tons of love, Kristen!
