Tandy!

Hey so this last week I've been in MoBay. The teacher of my school was asked to be the speaker for the School of the Bible here in MoBay, so us students of TFNJ just came with her and had classes with them. It was really great to review some of the things that I've learned this year and to hear some new views on it.

It's been a great week. I've felt God's peace and love for me so much this week. He's so amazing!

As part of my normal school when I'm at Stone's Hope we always volunteer in the school in the afternoons. So this week while I've been here we had to keep up that routine to make enough hours for the year. Each of us worked with one of the kids who live here on the base after their school was finished for the day. We helped them with their homework. It's been really fun.

One day I was working with a five year old girl named Tandy and she didn't have any homework so we were just reading. The first book we started was a kids book about a turtle. She is such a good reader. She said that she would read this book with expression. So she told me to hold the book so she could see it and she stood up and held out her hands and read EVERY word with lots of expression. It would be better if I could show you how she looked. I'll do my best to describe it. She was standing with her arms at her side, bent at the elbow wiht her palms up, and would move them up and down with each expressive thought! And she would widen her eyes to make more of an impact! It was so cute! She's such a bright little girl and she knows her Bible stuff too!!! And every page that we flipped she would say that she was going to read with even more expression! Oh the creative mind of children!!!

See you in about 10 days!
